Description

A tender, pan-seared steak served with a luxurious garlic cream sauce that is rich, savory, and perfect for a comforting yet elegant meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin, about 200 g each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, or until cooked to desired doneness. Remove steaks from the pan and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze and incorporate the browned bits.
  5. Add heavy cream and thyme, stirring well. Let the sauce simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the garlic cream sauce over them. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer for precise doneness.
  • You can substitute chicken broth for beef broth if needed.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
