Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 2 packets (0.87 oz each) chicken gravy mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts into the bottom of a greased slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together chicken gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and thyme.
- Pour mixture over chicken, ensuring it is well coated.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender.
- Remove chicken and shred with two forks. Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
- Stir in sour cream until gravy is creamy and smooth.
- Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits. Garnish with parsley if desired.

- For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or onions before cooking.
- Use chicken thighs for a richer taste and more tender meat.
