Description
A luxurious and creamy seafood bisque made with tender crab, shrimp, and lobster simmered in a rich, aromatic broth finished with cream for an elegant and comforting soup.
Ingredients
- 8 oz lobster meat, chopped
- 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz crab meat
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion and cook until soft and translucent.
- Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes to deepen flavor.
- Pour in white wine and simmer until slightly reduced.
- Add seafood stock, paprika, cayenne, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer gently for 15 minutes.
- Add shrimp and lobster, cooking for 3–4 minutes until just cooked.
- Stir in crab meat and heavy cream.
- Simmer gently for another 5 minutes without boiling.
- Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley or chives.
Notes
- Do not boil after adding cream to prevent curdling.
- Use fresh seafood for best flavor.
- The bisque can be lightly blended for a smoother texture if desired.
