Description

A luxurious and creamy seafood bisque made with tender crab, shrimp, and lobster simmered in a rich, aromatic broth finished with cream for an elegant and comforting soup.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz lobster meat, chopped
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz crab meat
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish


Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and cook until soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes to deepen flavor.
  5. Pour in white wine and simmer until slightly reduced.
  6. Add seafood stock, paprika, cayenne, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  7. Simmer gently for 15 minutes.
  8. Add shrimp and lobster, cooking for 3–4 minutes until just cooked.
  9. Stir in crab meat and heavy cream.
  10. Simmer gently for another 5 minutes without boiling.
  11. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  12. Serve hot, garnished with parsley or chives.

Notes

  • Do not boil after adding cream to prevent curdling.
  • Use fresh seafood for best flavor.
  • The bisque can be lightly blended for a smoother texture if desired.
