Description
A rich and comforting baked pasta dish that layers cheese-filled ravioli with creamy Alfredo sauce, savory sausage, and melted mozzarella for a lasagna-style meal without the extra prep.
Ingredients
- 1 lb cheese ravioli (fresh or frozen)
- 12 oz halal sausage, sliced
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add sliced sausage and cook until browned. Remove from heat.
- If using frozen ravioli, boil according to package instructions and drain.
- Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Add a layer of ravioli, followed by sausage, Alfredo sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and cheeses on top.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken or turkey sausage for a lighter option.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
- Letting the dish rest helps it set for cleaner slices.
