Description

Salmon and Shrimp Pasta is a luxurious, creamy seafood dish featuring tender salmon, juicy shrimp, and perfectly cooked pasta tossed in a rich garlic cream sauce. It’s elegant enough for a special dinner yet easy enough for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 1/2 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into chunks
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small shallot or onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken or seafood broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season salmon and shrimp with salt, pepper, and half of the Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add salmon and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the salmon.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic and shallots until fragrant and translucent, about 1–2 minutes.
  6. Pour in broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, and remaining Italian seasoning. Mix until creamy and smooth.
  8. Return salmon, shrimp, and pasta to the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything in the sauce without breaking the salmon pieces.
  9. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
  • For extra depth, add a splash of white wine when deglazing the pan after cooking the seafood.
  • Garnish with crushed red pepper flakes for a little heat.
