Description
A classic no-bake dessert inspired by a banana split, featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, creamy layers, fresh bananas, pineapple, and whipped topping finished with chocolate and cherries.
Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip)
- 3–4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, well drained
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Maraschino cherries for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form the crust.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Fold in half of the whipped topping and spread evenly over the crust.
- Layer sliced bananas evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- Spoon drained crushed pineapple over the bananas.
- Add a layer of sliced strawberries.
- Spread remaining whipped topping over the fruit layers.
- Drizzle with chocolate syrup and sprinkle with nuts if using.
- Top with maraschino cherries.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Drain pineapple thoroughly to avoid a soggy dessert.
- Slice bananas just before assembling to prevent browning.
