Description
Decadent and comforting, this Millionaire Gnocchi features pillowy soft potato gnocchi tossed in a luxurious creamy sauce made with garlic, Parmesan, and a hint of white wine. It’s rich, velvety, and indulgent — truly a ‘millionaire’ meal in taste and texture.
Ingredients
- 1 lb potato gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook gnocchi according to package directions until they float to the top (about 2–3 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in white wine (if using) and cook for 1–2 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Stir in heavy cream, cream cheese, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy, letting it simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Add cooked gnocchi to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes if using.
- Simmer for 1–2 more minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the gnocchi.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, pan-sear the gnocchi in butter before adding them to the sauce.
- Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
- Add cooked chicken, shrimp, or crispy bacon for protein.
- Serve with garlic bread and a green salad to complete the meal.
