Description

Decadent and comforting, this Millionaire Gnocchi features pillowy soft potato gnocchi tossed in a luxurious creamy sauce made with garlic, Parmesan, and a hint of white wine. It’s rich, velvety, and indulgent — truly a ‘millionaire’ meal in taste and texture.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb potato gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook gnocchi according to package directions until they float to the top (about 2–3 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in white wine (if using) and cook for 1–2 minutes until slightly reduced.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, cream cheese, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy, letting it simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Add cooked gnocchi to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes if using.
  6. Simmer for 1–2 more minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the gnocchi.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, pan-sear the gnocchi in butter before adding them to the sauce.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
  • Add cooked chicken, shrimp, or crispy bacon for protein.
  • Serve with garlic bread and a green salad to complete the meal.
