Description
A hearty, cheesy, and flavor-packed baked dip loaded with seasoned beef, refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, and melted cheese — perfect for game day or any party crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade blend)
- 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded Mexican blend or cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1 cup salsa or Rotel (drained if using Rotel)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and 2–3 tablespoons of water, stirring until well coated. Cook for 1–2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, mix together refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, and 1 cup shredded cheese until smooth and combined.
- Stir in the cooked taco meat and salsa (or Rotel).
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining 1 cup of cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and top with green onions and olives, if desired.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips for dipping.
Notes
- Use spicy taco seasoning or hot Rotel for extra heat.
- Can be made ahead of time and refrigerated — just bake an additional 10 minutes when ready to serve.
- Swap ground beef for sausage, turkey, or chorizo for different flavor profiles.
