A bright and comforting dish featuring tender lemon-garlic chicken served over creamy bowtie pasta with a rich, velvety sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts, sliced
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add lemon zest and lemon juice, stirring to deglaze the pan.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet and add cooked pasta. Toss until evenly coated.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for best flavor.
- Add spinach or broccoli for extra vegetables.
- Sauce thickens as it cools.
