Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, sliced
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  5. Add lemon zest and lemon juice, stirring to deglaze the pan.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet and add cooked pasta. Toss until evenly coated.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
