Description

Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender white fish pan-seared in a bright lemon butter sauce with garlic and herbs.

Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (tilapia, cod, or haddock), about 5 oz each
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon (zest and juice)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat fish fillets dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add fish fillets and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over low heat.
  5. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir in lemon zest and lemon juice.
  7. Return fish to the skillet and spoon sauce over the fillets.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook fish to keep it tender.
  • Use fresh lemon for best flavor.
  • Serve with rice, vegetables, or salad.
  • Capers can be added for extra zest.
