Description
Zesty Lemon Butter Fish Fillet is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender white fish pan-seared in a bright lemon butter sauce with garlic and herbs.
Ingredients
- 4 fish fillets (tilapia, cod, or haddock), about 5 oz each
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon (zest and juice)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat fish fillets dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add fish fillets and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over low heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon zest and lemon juice.
- Return fish to the skillet and spoon sauce over the fillets.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcook fish to keep it tender.
- Use fresh lemon for best flavor.
- Serve with rice, vegetables, or salad.
- Capers can be added for extra zest.
