Description
Crispy egg rolls filled with a creamy, cheesy jalapeño popper mixture, combining spicy jalapeños, cream cheese, and melted cheddar for a bold appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3–4 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
- 2 tbsp green onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Oil for frying
- 2 tbsp water (for sealing wrappers)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface with one corner facing you.
- Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll tightly. Seal the top corner with a little water.
- Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry egg rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust jalapeño quantity to control spice level.
- These can also be air-fried at 380°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Serve with ranch, sour cream, or sweet chili sauce.
