Description
A quick and flavorful stir-fry made with tender shrimp, savory sausage slices, and crisp broccoli tossed in a sweet and garlicky honey sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (optional)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned, 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil and shrimp to the skillet. Season with black pepper and cook until pink, 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- Add broccoli and a splash of water to the skillet. Cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until just tender-crisp.
- Return shrimp and sausage to the skillet. Pour in honey garlic sauce and stir until everything is well coated and heated through.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
- Frozen broccoli can be used if fresh is unavailable.
- Adjust honey and soy sauce ratios to taste—more honey for sweetness, more soy for saltiness.
