Description
Tender, juicy strips of beef glazed in a sweet and savory honey-garlic sauce, served alongside crispy roasted potatoes — a quick, mouthwatering dinner ready in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
- 1 lb (450g) baby potatoes, halved
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)
- 1/2 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Toss halved potatoes with 1 tbsp oil, paprika, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on the baking sheet and roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- While potatoes roast, whisk honey, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and garlic in a small bowl to make the sauce.
- In another bowl, toss sliced beef with cornstarch to coat lightly.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Reduce heat to medium, pour in the honey sauce, and toss beef to coat. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until sauce thickens and glazes the meat.
- Serve honey beef hot with roasted potatoes on the side. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a dash of chili flakes or sriracha to the honey sauce.
- Use chicken or tofu instead of beef for a variation.
- Pair with steamed veggies or a simple green salad for a complete meal.
- Leftovers reheat beautifully in a skillet or microwave.
