Description
Heaven in a Bowl is a luscious layered dessert that lives up to its name — combining rich brownies, creamy chocolate pudding, fluffy whipped topping, and crushed toffee bits for an indulgent, crowd-pleasing treat perfect for parties or holidays.
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the package)
- 2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup crushed Heath or toffee bits
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional for drizzle)
Instructions
- Prepare the brownies according to package directions in a 9×13-inch pan. Allow them to cool completely, then cut into small bite-sized cubes.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together pudding mixes and milk until smooth and thickened, about 2 minutes. Stir in the sour cream and fold in half of the whipped topping until well combined.
- In a large trifle bowl or glass dish, layer half of the brownie cubes on the bottom.
- Spoon half of the pudding mixture over the brownies and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle with half of the toffee bits and a drizzle of caramel sauce, if desired.
- Repeat layers with remaining brownies, pudding mixture, whipped topping, and toffee bits.
- Top with mini chocolate chips and an extra drizzle of caramel for garnish.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to let flavors blend and dessert set.
Notes
- For a lighter version, use low-fat milk, light whipped topping, and reduced-fat sour cream.
- You can substitute chocolate cake for brownies or add crushed Oreos for texture.
- Best made a day ahead — it tastes even better after chilling overnight.
