Ingredients

  • 4 ribeye or sirloin steaks (8 oz / 225 g each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme


Instructions

  1. Remove steaks from refrigerator 30 minutes before grilling.
  2. Preheat grill to high heat.
  3. Brush steaks with olive oil and season evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Place steaks on the hot grill and cook for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to desired doneness.
  5. During the last minute, add butter, garlic, and herbs to the grill or pan and baste steaks.
  6. Remove steaks from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve hot with preferred side dishes.
