Description

This Grilled Beef Bowl with Creamy Sauce is a hearty, flavor-packed meal featuring tender, marinated grilled beef served over steamed rice with fresh veggies and a luscious, tangy creamy sauce. It’s a perfect balance of smoky, savory, and creamy textures — ideal for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

    • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
    • 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
    • 1 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
    • 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
    • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
    • 2 green onions, chopped
    • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Beef Marinade:

    • 3 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp brown sugar
    • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tsp grated ginger
    • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Creamy Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sriracha or chili paste (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together marinade ingredients. Add sliced beef, toss to coat, and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together creamy sauce ingredients until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates.
  4. Grill the marinated beef slices for 2–3 minutes per side, until nicely charred and cooked through. Remove and let rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Assemble bowls by layering rice, lettuce, cucumbers, and carrots.
  6. Top each bowl with grilled beef, drizzle with creamy sauce, and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use thinly sliced ribeye or short rib beef.
  • Can be made low-carb by serving over cauliflower rice.
  • Try the creamy sauce as a dip for grilled veggies or fries.
  • Make it spicy by adding more sriracha or chili oil to the sauce.
