Description

Tender beef chops cooked in a rich garlic-Parmesan sauce and served alongside creamy, cheesy scalloped potatoes for a hearty, comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 beef chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 lbs potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish for the scalloped potatoes.
  2. Layer sliced potatoes and onions in the dish. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream, butter, and half the Parmesan until melted. Pour over potatoes.
  4. Top with mozzarella and cheddar. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  5. Season beef chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chops 2–3 minutes per side.
  7. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, beef broth, and remaining Parmesan. Simmer 10 minutes until sauce thickens.
  8. Remove foil from potatoes and bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Serve beef chops topped with garlic-Parmesan sauce alongside cheesy scalloped potatoes.

Notes

  • Use a mandoline for evenly sliced potatoes.
  • Substitute chicken broth for a lighter sauce.
  • Add fresh parsley or chives for garnish.
  • Can be made with pork chops instead of beef.
