Description
A flavorful and comforting garlic shrimp pasta tossed in a rich butter sauce with tender shrimp, aromatic garlic, and perfectly cooked pasta. This quick and easy dish is perfect for weeknight dinners yet elegant enough for special occasions.
Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
- Season shrimp with salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Pour chicken broth and lemon juice into the skillet, simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Add cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water as needed. Toss until well combined.
- Stir in parsley and Parmesan cheese. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve immediately with extra Parmesan on top.
