Easy and indulgent garlic butter sausage bites served over creamy Parmesan pasta for a comforting, flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup pasta water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the garlic. Cook until fragrant.
- Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned on both sides.
- Season with paprika and black pepper, stirring to coat.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil and add the heavy cream. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add pasta water gradually to reach desired sauce consistency.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the creamy Parmesan sauce.
- Serve pasta topped with garlic butter sausage bites and garnish with parsley.
Notes
- Use spicy sausage if you prefer extra heat.
- Replace heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
