Ingredients

  • 1 lb sea scallops
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the scallops dry and arrange them in a lightly greased baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the scallops.
  5. In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and parsley.
  6. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the scallops.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until scallops are opaque and topping is lightly golden.
  8. Serve hot with extra lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Do not overbake scallops to keep them tender.
