Description

A homemade version of the iconic Ferrero Rocher chocolates featuring a crunchy hazelnut center, creamy chocolate-hazelnut filling, crisp wafer shell, and a rich milk chocolate coating with chopped hazelnuts.

Ingredients

  • 12 whole roasted hazelnuts
  • 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1/2 cup crushed wafer biscuits
  • 200 g milk chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped roasted hazelnuts
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Place one whole roasted hazelnut aside for each chocolate.
  2. In a bowl, mix chocolate hazelnut spread with crushed wafer biscuits until well combined.
  3. Take a small portion of the mixture, flatten it in your hand, place a whole hazelnut in the center, and roll into a smooth ball.
  4. Repeat until all mixture is used, then refrigerate the balls for 20 minutes.
  5. Melt the milk chocolate with coconut oil if using, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, coating completely.
  7. Immediately sprinkle or roll the coated balls in chopped hazelnuts.
  8. Place on parchment paper and refrigerate until fully set.
