Description
A homemade version of the iconic Ferrero Rocher chocolates featuring a crunchy hazelnut center, creamy chocolate-hazelnut filling, crisp wafer shell, and a rich milk chocolate coating with chopped hazelnuts.
Ingredients
- 12 whole roasted hazelnuts
- 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
- 1/2 cup crushed wafer biscuits
- 200 g milk chocolate, melted
- 1/2 cup finely chopped roasted hazelnuts
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
Instructions
- Place one whole roasted hazelnut aside for each chocolate.
- In a bowl, mix chocolate hazelnut spread with crushed wafer biscuits until well combined.
- Take a small portion of the mixture, flatten it in your hand, place a whole hazelnut in the center, and roll into a smooth ball.
- Repeat until all mixture is used, then refrigerate the balls for 20 minutes.
- Melt the milk chocolate with coconut oil if using, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, coating completely.
- Immediately sprinkle or roll the coated balls in chopped hazelnuts.
- Place on parchment paper and refrigerate until fully set.
Notes
- Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
- Ensure hazelnuts are well roasted for maximum aroma.
