Description

Elegant stacked towers of sweet winter pears, creamy burrata, and ruby pomegranate arils, finished with a drizzle of honey and balsamic for a luxurious seasonal appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm pears, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 8 oz burrata cheese, torn into portions
  • 1 cup pomegranate arils
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Fresh thyme or mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the pears horizontally into even rounds, removing seeds from the center if needed.
  2. Brush each pear slice lightly with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble the towers by layering a pear slice, a spoonful of burrata, and a sprinkle of pomegranate arils. Repeat for 2–3 layers.
  4. Drizzle each tower with honey and balsamic glaze.
  5. Finish with additional pomegranate arils and fresh herbs for garnish.
  6. Serve immediately for best texture and presentation.

Notes

  • Chill the pears before slicing for cleaner, firmer layers.
  • Use Asian pears for extra crispness or Bosc pears for deeper flavor.
  • Add toasted pistachios or walnuts for crunch.
  • Pairs beautifully with crusty bread or served as part of a holiday charcuterie board.
