Description
Crockpot Steak Bites are tender, juicy chunks of beef slow-cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce. This easy, hands-off recipe delivers melt-in-your-mouth flavor perfect for busy weeknights, meal prep, or hearty comfort food dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs sirloin or stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sear the steak bites in batches until browned on all sides (about 2 minutes per side). Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Transfer the seared steak bites to the crockpot.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add to the crockpot along with any browned bits from the pan.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, and beef broth to the crockpot. Stir to coat the meat evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 2–3 hours, until the beef is tender.
- Stir before serving and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for a complete meal.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, whisk 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water and stir into the crockpot 20 minutes before serving.
- You can add mushrooms or onions for extra flavor.
- Choose sirloin or chuck for the most tender results.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 4 days or can be frozen for 3 months.
