A rich and indulgent fettuccine Alfredo made with juicy garlic shrimp tossed in a creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for an elegant yet easy dinner.
Ingredients
- 225 g fettuccine pasta
- 250 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring well. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add cooked fettuccine and shrimp to the sauce and toss until evenly coated.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best texture.
- Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra depth of flavor.
- Serve with garlic bread or a green salad.
