Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–2 tbsp milk or heavy cream
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
- Add vanilla extract and salt, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, beating on low speed until incorporated.
- Add milk or cream one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Increase speed and beat for 1–2 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Use immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
Notes
- Ensure cream cheese and butter are fully softened to avoid lumps.
- For thicker frosting, add more powdered sugar.
