Description

Juicy chicken breasts stuffed with creamy cheese and crispy bacon, coated in crushed Doritos for an ultra-crunchy, flavorful crust. A fun and indulgent dinner recipe that combines comfort food and bold snack flavors in one bite.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 cups crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos (or any flavor you prefer)
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil (for greasing the baking dish)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with butter or oil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Cut a pocket into the side of each chicken breast, being careful not to slice all the way through.
  4. Stuff each chicken breast with 2–3 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
  5. In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg and milk together. In another bowl, place the crushed Doritos.
  6. Dip each stuffed chicken breast first in the egg mixture, then coat completely in crushed Doritos, pressing gently so the coating sticks.
  7. Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C) and the coating is crispy and golden.
  9. Remove toothpicks, let rest for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve.

Notes

  • Use flavored Doritos like Cool Ranch or Spicy Nacho for a twist.
  • For extra crispiness, lightly spray the coated chicken with cooking spray before baking.
  • This can also be made in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 18–20 minutes.
  • Pairs perfectly with a side of mashed potatoes, corn, or a crisp green salad.
