Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat together butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
- Scoop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use mini chocolate chips or a mix of milk and dark chocolate.
- Do not overbake — cookies should stay soft and chewy.
