Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • For frosting: 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas and melted butter.
  3. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow cake to cool completely.
  9. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  10. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy.
  11. Spread frosting evenly over cooled cake, slice, and serve.
