Description
Baked Ravioli Casserole is an easy, comforting oven-baked dish made with layers of cheese-filled ravioli, rich tomato sauce, and melted cheese, perfect for a quick family dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 (25 oz) package cheese ravioli (fresh or frozen)
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly over the bottom of the dish.
- Arrange half of the ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
- Top with ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add another layer of marinara sauce and remaining ravioli.
- Finish with remaining marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh herbs, let rest 5 minutes, and serve.
Notes
- You may add cooked ground beef or Italian sausage for extra protein.
- Spinach or mushrooms can be layered in for added vegetables.
- Let the casserole rest before serving for cleaner slices.
